With our Mor Ladron cluster centres now launched and our Ravens and Rebels centres due to launch next week, we are to have a cluster themed pre match engagement at the RGC v Carmarthen game on Saturday 29th April. This will involve some games in the barn pre match as well as pre match guard of honour and then half time games on the pitch. I see this as a brilliant opportunity to showcase girls rugby within the region.
All players will arrive at Eirias Park through GATE B 12.45pm to meet with a WRU / RGC Representative. Please be aware that any teams arriving earlier than 12.45pm may be stopped at the gate and asked to wait until the time, due to Health and Safety requirements.
The itinerary for the RGC vs. Carmarthen Quins RFC game is broken down below;
12.45pm – 1.00pm Gate B to meet children/parents and walk to Barn, other parents to be directed to ticket offices for tickets (One parent and one child allowed in free)
1.00pm – 1.10pm Meet in Barn for welcome (Club Coaches & RGC Players to discuss format / split into groups)
1.10pm - 2.12pm Pre-match festival/Skills rotation
2.12pm – 2.20pm Pack away and toilet break
2.20pm – 2.26pm Set up on Athletics track for Pre Match Guard of honour to welcome players to pitch
2.30pm Kick off and players to seats to watch the game
Children will be allocated free entry, plus 1 free adult to accompany. All other adults attending will be asked to pay on entry (At the ticket office located near the All-weather pitch and by the Skate park on entry to Eirias Park), all other U16’s are free of charge. Coaches will also have complimentary tickets for this fixture.
I hope you’ll agree that this is a great chance to promote girls rugby and our cluster centres and I hope that you will be able to support the event.
